Prosecco with Sugared Cranberries – Champagne and Coconuts
Santa Margherita Prosecco
One of our favorite prosecco drinks is our incredibly easy yet delicious, Prosecco with Sweetened Cranberries. The sugared cranberry garnish adds just the right bit of sweetness with a touch of tart to make the perfect cocktail. Easy to serve for parties, this drink is great to serve whenever you want to pop a bottle of bubbly and is great for occasions like New Years, Valentine’s Day, weddings, and brunches.
- 1 bottle Prosecco we used Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG
- 8-10 frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 T water
- Maple Syrup optional
Pre-Steps:
- Wash the fresh cranberries.
- Pour the sugar on a small plate or bowl
Make the Sugared Cranberries
- Start by putting the cranberries on a skewer, about 3-4 cranberries per skewer.
- Dip the cranberries in water and then roll the skewers in the granulated sugar.
- Put the cranberry skewers on wax paper and place in freezer for 5 minutes.

Make the Drink
- Fill a champagne flute three-quarters of the way with Prosecco.
- Place the cranberry skewers on top of the glass and serve.
Please note that nutrition facts are subject to change based on your choice of ingredients. Please note that while the recipe calls for 1/2 cup of sugar, that’s more than you will actually consume. More is needed to have room for the cranberries to pick up the sugar. Unless you really coat them, you’re really only using about 1 tsp of sugar per drink or less.
